Bill Carr, 81, of Scriba, passed away on May 24, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Littleton, N.H., he was the son of the late Lawrence W. and Shirley (Connery) Carr.

He was an US Navy Seabees Veteran serving from 1962-64.

Bill worked for the Labor Union #633, and then worked Nuclear until 2020.

He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed attending family sporting events.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy (Michalski) Carr, his son Billy Carr and grand-children Billy, Jacob and Ben, his daughter Sandy (Andrew) Upcraft and grandchildren Maya, Mallory and Malia, his daughter Candace Carr and grandchild Sydney Kontur, two brothers, Darrell (Bobbi) Carr and Ryan (Carlene) Carr, and a sister Darlene Gray, several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, David, Donald and Thomas Carr.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 31st from 4-7 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego. Funeral Services and burial will be private in Peck's Cemetery, Scriba.
