Dennis J. Flynn, 81, of Oswego, passed away on December 24, 2024.

Born in Germantown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lucille (Ditorro) Flynn.

Dennis was employed as a union/field representative for the Public Employee Federation in Syracuse where he formed lasting friendships and memories with coworker Peter Costello, his boss Tommy Privetere, and the many friends he made at Riley's Tavern on Park Street.  Throughout his life, Dennis enjoyed gardening, golfing, and libations with his friends.  He was an avid reader of histories and mysteries, and visitors to his home will remember him reading in his green chair in the living room or pontificating at the dining room table.  He shared many fond memories and affection for lifelong friends from Albany, including the Doyles and the Triffalettis, the latter of whom housed him for a period following the death of his mother.

Dennis is survived by his son Devin (Stephanie Touron) Flynn, his daughter Kathleen (Jacob Frawley) Flynn, and his grandson Jack Frawley.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his wife Susan J. (Bidinger) Flynn.

There will be no services for Dennis at this time, but a celebration of life will be held at a future date. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
