Evelyn Brooks, 81, of Oswego, passed away on December 8, 2024.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel (Lamb) Bailey.

Evelyn was a graduate of Oswego High School and worked as a supervisor and union steward for Comstock Foods in Red Creek for many years.

Evelyn enjoyed nature, loved to garden, and adored animals.  She especially loved cats and birds and raised exotic birds.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Karen (Ed) Lyndaker and Teresa Gilbert and son Thomas Bradshaw. She also has three grandsons, Robby Bradshaw, Steven Bradshaw, and Jason Lyndaker, two great-grandchildren, Jayden and James Lyndaker, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her siblings Joe Bailey, Bobby Bailey, Freddy Bailey, Jimmy Bailey, Teresa Panetti and Ann Chilemi.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10-11 am on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street.  A funeral service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be held in St. Paul Cemetery.
