Thomas Detjen, 70, of Oswego passed on July 18th, 2019 at home.

Born in Syracuse, he was the son of the last Karl and Bertha (Ineich) Detjen.

Thomas was a truck driver for Anolplate Inc. of Syracuse.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also an avid fisherman and bowler.

Thomas is survived by his daughter, Robin Dunsmoor of Oswego and his son William Palmisano of Syracuse; one sister, Shirley Detjen-Amidom of South Carolina; sister in law, Elaine Detjen of Mattydale; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Jo Anne Wood and four brothers, Karl, Robert, Donald and Stephen Detjen.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, August 3rd from 1-3pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. Burial will take place in September in North Syracuse Cemetery. Nelson Funeral Home has care of his arrangements.
